These are my albums so far in reverse order.
Note that they’re all available in one form or another in my store.
You can also listen to samples there.

This is my latest album, released now in 2009. It’s been quite a while between albums, I admit, but the times between times have been very busy. Finally it’s here. This album introduces a few changes as well, most noticeable is the fact that I gathered up the courage to sing in a few of the songs. Hopefully, that won’t bother many people. The songs were all made somewhere between 2005-2009, although the older songs were all taken apart and put together again before the release. Some songs have been heard before, but in other versions, and others have not been heard at all. It’s not as schizophrenic as the previous albums, but it does tend to roughen up from being the full on, melodic, shoegazing, folk-mixed drama that it can be in times.
- the period between 2005-2009
- it wants you to snap out of recession mode
- spam
- harps, pianos, guitars, organs, babies, and broken voices
- calmness
- technology without perspective
- my good days and my bad days
- sitting on the rocky seashore, watching the sun come up
This album is the first album I’ve hired the services of a CD manufacturer for te production. That means it’s not going to sell out soon. The album cover itself was designed by my wife, Jelena, and I must say that it’s absolutely lovely and not at all any less value than the home made covers.
This album you can buy from me with ease. Until I set up a better system, just a simple Paypal link should so the trick. So if you want it you can go to my store:

This album I made in 2004. I never released it properly, as I never quite thought it was finished. Even so, as it collected dust under a pile, I decided to give it away for free through Myspace as a celebration of my daughters birth in July 2007. It’s a collection of songs I worked on in my time as a hermit in a summer cabin in the summer of 2004. Maybe it wasn’t long enough a period to grant the hermit title, but I did spend around 1-2 weeks in solitary to record it. As it turned out, I came there with material for two albums which I then reduced to one 14 track album. It’s full of my experimenting further with my amateur guitar playing and attempts to create a more natural sounding palette of instruments, along with experiments in the opposite direction as well.
- someone testing their abilities to play guitar
- electronics vs. acoustics
- nice things
- things you’d make after a few beers alone in a summer cabin
- experiments
This album didn’t get released as a physical release, so no cover was actually made.
Since that album was never sold, it never sold out. It’s still downloadable here:

This is my third album from the year 2003. The title means “You’re not taking me literally enough”. This time the music style changes a bit from my first albums, even though it still holds on to a bit of their schizophrenia. I picked up the guitar on this one and used more natural sounds of real instruments, rather than wholly synthesized ones like mostly before. You can hear cellos, organs, some Asian bell thingy and various other things which color the album with more warmth than the previous ones. It still goes crazy at times with mad, drilling beats and odd melodies, but overall it has a much friendlier feel to it.
- nice things
- precious things you thought you lost, but found again after many years
- shoegazing with a twist
- a whole
- me
The cover was simpler this time around, as I’ve learned from the past two albums that excessive coolness of packaging can be deadly in the making. It was a simple envelope I handmade, held closed with Velcro. It changes color from time to time when I make it, depending on which paper I choose. The design used to be different on each one as well, with every cd getting a different tiny photo glued on the lid of the envelope, but that design gave way for a picture of two girls on a pick nick.
This album is sold out at the moment, until I make more. Yet it’s available as an mp3 release at my store and other ones.
Around a year earlier:
This is my second release from 2002. The title is in Icelandic and means “Everything Seems So Small From Here”. It’s under a bit of Aphex Twin influence. It contains a lot of small, odd songs along with some that might make more sense. Also, the first track is performed by Staubsauger Nilfisk, which was a band I was in at that time. Pretty nice.
- kind of schizophrenic
- cute and ugly and confusing
- nice, soothing and alarming
- quirky, upbeat and fun
- like the beginning of The Who’s “Baba O’Riley” in the second track, according to my dad
The album cover was really interesting this time. It was made of two sheets plywood tied together with yarn, with a paper pocket glued on the inside for the cd to rest in. All track names, titles, artwork and info was written and drawn on each individual copy, rendering them a big pain to make.
This album is also sold out until I have time to produce more copies. Like the first album, though, I’ve made it available as an mp3 release at my store and others.

This is my first released album from 2001. It’s very influenced by the likes of Autechre, Plaid, Aphex Twin and others.
- a bit dark and ambient, yet it lightens up at times
- a bit cold, with specks of warmth
- electronic with flashes of organic quality
- like me at that time.
The cd case was custom made by me with help in assembly by friends at first. It had a cd wallet, each with unique drawings, encased in a larger cardboard wallet taped together with the 7oi logo on the front. It also contained some pieces of paper with track names on them and statements from my friend Haukur.
This cd is sold out at the moment until I can manage to make more of them. It is available as an mp3 release at my store and others.

This album was made in the year 2000, but was never released. Thus the title 0 as it is the 7oi album nr.0.
- odd
Since I never released it, I’m going to give you the opportunity to download it, free of charge:

Hey David,
Currently I’m just so busy with finishing my BA degree that I haven’t had much time to make more copies of it. I’ll have to make some when I’m finished with all the work sometime in February, so I’ll let you know then. Then, of course, I have plenty of copies of the new album. I haven’t been promoting it so much lately, due to my lack of time, but I will put up a link to buy that one as soon as I can. Plus, I need to make this webpage look decent.
Can’t wait to finish school.
Jói
It seems the link to paypal to buy your new album doesnt work…damn…I really want an album ;0)
oh! and HUGE thanks for the ”Lost Under the Pile” free download album! Listening to the first track right now and its beautiful ;0)
Thanks! The whole lost album never felt really right by me, but I’m glad you can enjoy it.
Oh, and I fixed the Paypal link. I lowered the price as well from $12 to $8. So, lucky it didn’t work before, eh?
Hi.
I came two days ago from Iceland. I was there for 7 days only and it was the first time. I’ll never forget this trip with my rented car listening continually to Your last great album, advised to me by a cd seller in Reykjavik.
Articular avaraged is very excellent.
Cheers
Why, thank you very much! I’m very glad you like it. I was always very nervous about Articular Avaraged, because I’m not used to singing at all, but it’s great that you like it. ![]()
